Sea Turtle Conservation Ambassador Project in Costa Rica to protect endangered sea turtle species in the beautiful Matapalo village. Make a difference as a volunteer and enjoy breathtaking natural surroundings.
Introduction:
At the Matapalo Sea Turtle Conservation, we are on a mission to save the sea turtles native to Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Because of pollution, poaching, and low hatchling survival rates, many species of sea turtles are in danger of going extinct, endangering the global population. We think that volunteers such as yourself can be extremely important in keeping these amazing animals alive. Join our Sea Turtle Conservation Ambassador Project in Costa Rica and make a meaningful impact.
Location:
Situated just 200 kilometers south of San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica is the quaint village of Matapalo, where our conservation project is situated. Only 100 meters from the Pacific Ocean, it provides a rare chance to collaborate closely with these fascinating marine animals. You can easily access a variety of amenities by traveling to the closest city, Quepos.
