This program is ideal for

Volunteers who are passionate about creating change through effective communication and design. Volunteers should possess skills in illustration, graphic design, and photography, as well as proficiency in design software. They should be creative, detail-oriented, and have a strong desire to contribute to the mission of NGOs. Volunteers will support the organizations in creating impactful campaigns, awareness actions, and visual materials such as infographics, brochures, posters, animations, videos, and photographs. Bringing their own laptops and design software is necessary due to limited resources.

What You'll Do as a Volunteer:

  • Support NGOs in creating campaigns and awareness actions
  • Use your illustration and design skills to create infographics, brochures, posters, animations, videos, announcements, and photos
  • Get involved in events, beach clean-ups, street actions, and other initiatives
  • Play a crucial role in advancing the project's mission

Volunteer Requirements: NGOs may not have all the necessary resources, so volunteers are expected to provide their own laptops, design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent), and camera equipment. Please ensure you include your relevant qualifications and experience in your application for the program.

  • The best time to visit Croatia is during the shoulder seasons of May-June and September-October, when the weather is pleasant, and the crowds are smaller.
  • Visit Diocletian's Palace: This ancient Roman palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Split's most popular attractions. Explore the palace's many courtyards, cellars, and hidden passageways.
  • Stroll along Riva: Riva is a picturesque waterfront promenade that is perfect for an evening walk. Enjoy the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea, and stop at one of the many cafes or restaurants along the way.
  • Visit Marjan Hill: This natural park offers some of the best views of Split and the surrounding islands. Take a hike or bike ride through the park's winding trails, and enjoy a picnic in one of the scenic areas.
  • Swim at Bacvice Beach: Bacvice is Split's most popular beach and is known for its clear waters and sandy shore. Relax in the sun, swim, and enjoy the beachside bars and cafes.
  • Explore the Old Town: The narrow streets and alleys of Split's Old Town are perfect for exploring on foot. Visit the many shops, restaurants, and cafes, and immerse yourself in the city's rich history and culture.
  • Visit the Green Market: The Green Market is a lively outdoor market where you can find fresh produce, local delicacies, and handmade souvenirs. It's a great place to experience the local culture and interact with the friendly locals.
  • Take a day trip to nearby islands: There are many beautiful islands near Split, such as Hvar, Brac, and Vis. Take a ferry or speedboat ride to these islands and spend the day exploring their stunning beaches and charming villages.
