Responsible Consumption and Production Life on Land Partnerships to achieve the Goal

This program is ideal for

Enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about the environment and eager to make a positive impact on the relationship between humans and the land. It appeals to those who thrive in rural communities and are willing to immerse themselves in the Delta del Ebro Natural Park, Catalonia's largest protected wetland. The ideal volunteers possess a strong sense of adventure, resilience, and a willingness to adapt to extreme conditions. They are ready to engage in physical tasks and work in aquatic ecosystems, whether it's walking through mud, handling animals and plants, or using tools.

Join our Volunteer Environmental Conservation Project in Spain and become a part of a rural community dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Delta del Ebro Natural Park. We are passionate about the environment and committed to transforming the relationship between humans and the land.

Are you ready to embark on your environmental volunteering journey?

The Delta del Ebro Natural Park, the largest protected wetland in Catalonia, is a haven for diverse flora and fauna. However, much of this vegetation has had to adapt to extreme conditions and colonize dunes, saline soils, and lagoon areas.

Our project is driven by initiatives such as conservation campaigns, environmental education lessons, organic gardening, and scientific monitoring. We aim to enhance the natural heritage, reduce environmental damage, regenerate and restore natural spaces, and ultimately promote biodiversity while restoring ecological functions.

Spoiler Alert – Your daily tasks often involve physical work in aquatic ecosystems, such as lagoons and rice fields. Be prepared to work outdoors, even in challenging conditions, including walking through mud, handling animals and plants, using tools, and getting dirty. Expect scorching summers and chilly winters!

Living within the Reserve, just 100 meters from the hide, surrounded by rice fields and nature, means you'll experience life and work in direct contact with nature. If you are sensitive to dust, moisture, pollen, insect bites, or plants, it's important to carefully think about your choice to volunteer here. Furthermore, be aware that this location is quite distant from any city, hospital, or healthcare facility.
