Our mission is focused on the establishment of a biological corridor linking Costa Rica's Corcovado National Park and Piedras Blancas National Park, two prominent natural reserves. These parks boast magnificent rainforests, host elusive jaguars, and harbor an extraordinary wealth of biodiversity.
The Arboretum: A Symbol of Conservation
Named after the renowned Costa Rican Botanist Luis Jorge Poveda Alvarez, the Arboretum is a collaborative effort involving AFE officials, Bahia Chal community residents, and several other organizations. This ambitious project aims to provide a public point of interest for neighboring communities, tourists, students, and researchers. It serves as a repository of rare and endangered endemic tree species found on the Osa Peninsula.
